Antonio Brown — formerly a star wide receiver in the NFL — is getting some flak on X for his assertion that when Donald Trump was president, he won a Super Bowl, but that under the current administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, he went bankrupt.

One user noted that Biden was in fact the president of the United States when Brown won a Super Bowl playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brown’s Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 of 2021, and Biden was inaugurated as president a few weeks earlier on Jan. 20.
Biden was the president when you won the Super Bowl.

Brown then responded by explaining that championships aren’t won in one day and implied that Trump was in office during most of the season in question.

Brown was nearing the end of his NFL career by the time the 2020 campaign rolled around, and he was some time removed from his days with the Steelers, when he was seemingly a consistent threat to lead the league in receiving yards.
But he was still solid across eight regular-season games and four starts in the 2020 regular season, as he totaled 483 receiving yards, four receiving touchdowns and 27 first downs receiving. In the playoffs, he also made an impact with two receiving touchdowns.
The Buccaneers ended the regular season with a record of 11-5, the second-best of any team in the NFC South division behind the 12-4 New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay then won every one of its four playoff games in order to secure its first Super Bowl in nearly two decades and second in franchise history.
The team was led by someone who is widely perceived as the greatest quarterback ever to play in the NFL in Tom Brady. Brady was also in the twilight of his pro career, but unlike Brown, he did not show many signs of his age that season. He started every one of Tampa Bay’s 16 regular-season games and then threw for 1,061 yards and 10 touchdowns during the team’s Super Bowl run.
