Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins has been quite outspoken when it comes to his criticism of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Now, Clippers forward Marcus Morris is returning the favor.
It began when Perkins took to “First Take” to criticize the Clippers’ decision to sign Paul George to a massive contract extension.
Paul George stunk up the bubble but had leverage to get a Max. Congrats to him. That falls on the front office! Gave up everything to get em and now it’s making you look like you have no standards. Poor play can get you max money with the Clippers if you play it right! Carry on.. https://t.co/Hb0UTuJbCH

He then called the entire team “soft as hot Twinkies.”
It wasn’t too long before Morris hopped on Twitter and told Perkins to “keep that same energy” once the season begins.
@KendrickPerkins slow down Perk ain’t no soft shit going on over here champ. Keep that same energy during the Season. We right back you still talking about the past. One thing Forsure ain’t no soft shit over here. #Hollyhood

The Clippers entered the 2019-20 campaign as strong favorites to win the title. They finished their season in embarrassment after giving up a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs.
Now, Morris and the rest of the Clippers roster will look to prove the doubters wrong and get their title this season.
Morris seems quite confident they’ll do just that. However, the Clippers have formed a reputation of talking a big game and then failing to back it up.
