The Brooklyn Nets reportedly are signing EuroLeague guard Mike James to a 10-day contract.
James, 30, last played in the NBA during the 2017-18 season. He appeared in 32 games for the Phoenix Suns and four games for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Nets are in desperate need for some depth at guard with James Harden being out indefinitely due to a hamstring injury.
James has been playing for CSKA Moscow in Russia the past two seasons. This season, he’s averaging 19.3 points, 5.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.
During his stint in the NBA during the 2017-18 campaign, James averaged 9.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.
He started 10 games for the Suns and shot 38.3 percent from the field on the season.
Brooklyn is currently the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 39-19 record.
