The trade market may be heating up for Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

According to Ian Begley of SNY.tv, numerous Western Conference contenders are interested in Dinwiddie.

“Multiple western conference contenders have expressed interest internally in trading for Nets SG Spencer Dinwiddie, sources tell SNY,” Begley reported.

Dinwiddie, 27, is coming off the best campaign of his career.

The guard collected 20.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game this past season. He has steadily improved his production every year of his career.

The veteran did not participate in the Nets’ short playoff appearance in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Fla.

The Nets have to make some big decisions in the coming years. Dinwiddie, who has a player option on his contract for the 2021-22 season at $12.3 million, may command too much money in the future for the Nets’ liking.

The Nets already have two superstars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving locked into longterm contracts.
