Veteran guard Goran Dragic recently signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls. As one would imagine, the news quickly made the rounds on social media.

When SportsCenter posted a tweet about the news, the Twitter page included a photoshopped image of Dragic wearing a No. 1 uniform with the Bulls.

It didn’t take long for fans to start calling out SportsCenter for the image. Based on their words, it seems as though many believe that the only player who should wear a No. 1 uniform with Chicago is former Bulls point guard Derrick Rose.

Clearly, Bulls fans are quite passionate about the place that Rose holds in the history of the franchise. Without a doubt, he is one of the most talented players to ever wear a Bulls uniform. He was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and immediately became a star in the league.

He was named the league MVP after only his third year in the NBA. He became the youngest player to ever win the award at just 22 years of age.

Sadly, it wasn’t long after that incredible achievement that Rose suffered a devastating knee injury. As a result of the injury, he was forced to miss the entire 2012-13 season. Though he played for the Bulls for three more years after that, he was never truly the same electric player that he was during his first four years in the league.

As for Dragic, he has had a solid career with a number of different teams. He’s a one-time NBA All-Star and has quite a bit of playoff experience.

He’ll look to get his career with the Bulls off on the right foot later this year. Surely, Bulls fans won’t hold SportsCenter’s tweet against him.
