Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is never afraid to voice his opinion.
He has been at the forefront of major discussions in the NBA since he bought the team in 2000.
That continued recently, as NBA players continue to fight for social justice in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
After Cuban’s criticism of the “National Anthem Police,” Texas senator Ted Cruz posted a screenshot of Cuban’s tweet with his response.
Cuban took offense to Cruz using a screenshot and not directly tagging him.
Next, it was Cruz’s turn to fire back.
The national anthem has brought huge controversy to the sports world since former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick started sitting or kneeling during it before games.
Many players have followed suit since, and NBA players will likely follow after Floyd’s death sparked racial tensions yet again in America.
Cuban appears to be supportive of whatever his players choose to do for the national anthem.
