Michael Porter Jr. Passionately Explains Why He Thinks Coronavirus Is a Hoax

Even as the novel coronavirus and massive numbers of deaths and hospitalizations continue to spread across the United States, some still think the pandemic is bogus.

Denver Nuggets rookie forward Michael Porter Jr. is among those skeptics.

Since first being identified in early 2020, the novel coronavirus has officially infected over 16 million people worldwide.

About 4.46 million of those infections have occurred in the United States, even though it has a small fraction of the world’s population. To date, the U.S. has endured approximately 150,000 deaths due to COVID-19.

Still, there is a sizable chunk of the population that believes the virus is no deadlier or more aggressive than the flu. Some even think that the entire situation has been staged.

This has led to misinformation campaigns, such as the conspiracy documentary “Plandemic,” which has been denounced by many medical experts.

For its part, the NBA has been taking the coronavirus very seriously. The league is mandating that players undergo regular testing, and it has even penalized a handful of players for missing their scheduled tests.
