Much has been made of the Los Angeles Clippers’ collapse to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
However, Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is not thrilled that his team is not getting enough credit for coming back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the star-studded Clippers.
The Clippers were highly expected to win a championship last season.
After all, they had two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and All-Star Paul George at the head of their production. In addition, they had a spectacular supporting cast and fantastic head coach in Doc Rivers.
However, the team crumbled in the postseason as they suffered chemistry issues. The Clippers reportedly didn’t respect to George.
The Nuggets believe they earned the comeback more than the Clippers fell apart. As a matter of fact, the Nuggets also rallied from a 3-1 hole against the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2020 playoffs.
Jokic, 25, averaged 24.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game during the Nuggets’ 2020 playoff run.
