Draymond on whether NBA players ask him for LeBron’s phone number: ‘You can’t get ahold of Bron’

Some NBA players have seemingly turned to Golden State Warriors defensive ace Draymond Green for help in reaching out to players like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, and it’s easy to see why. After all, Green has played with Curry on the Warriors for the entirety of his pro career, and he was a teammate of Durant for three seasons.

Green won two titles during his time on the same team as Durant, and he’s won four with Curry. The 34-year-old and the Warriors are hoping to win their fifth title together before it’s too late.

When the subject of whether players ask Green for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ phone number came up, the longtime Warrior proceeded to laugh and say that’s it’s difficult to get in contact with the 39-year-old star.

“No, you can’t get ahold of Bron,” Green said, per FOX Sports.

James and Green have never played on the same NBA team, but they’ll always be connected to one another because of all the times the two met in the NBA Finals. For every year during a four-year stretch from 2015 through 2018, James’ Cleveland Cavaliers and Green’s Warriors met to decide the winner of the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Maybe in part because of all of their playoff battles in the past, Green has seemingly developed great admiration for the 39-year-old. Back in July, he was asked if there was a player in the NBA he’d like to team up with, and he said none other than James.

Additionally, shortly before the start of the 2024-25 regular season, he implied that he and James have a “brotherhood.” Green also claimed that he tries to “kill” James on the court more than anyone and plays with great physicality when he goes up against the all-time leading scorer.

The next time that James and Green are set to face off this season is on Dec. 25 in what will be a home game for Golden State at Chase Center. With the careers of both players likely winding down, NBA fans will have to appreciate them while they’re still in the league batting one another.
