Former Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green recently had a one-on-one discussion, and during their talk, they touched on their infamous argument that came during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers in 2018.
In the notorious game against the Clippers, Green mishandled the ball in the final seconds of regulation. The game was tied at that point, and Durant was visibly frustrated with the fact that he didn’t have the ball in his own hands. L.A. ultimately won the game in overtime.
It sounds like Green and Durant agree that the organization handled the aftermath of the situation very poorly. They were very candid about the matter during their one-on-one talk.
That 2018-19 season ended up being Durant’s last with the Warriors. Due to injury woes, the team’s title run fell short that year. Durant ended his time with Golden State with two NBA championships.
These days, Green is still a member of the Warriors. Durant, meanwhile, is chasing a title with the Brooklyn Nets. Both teams figure to be contenders in the 2021-22 season.
