Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry has been dealing with a foot injury, and there had been some concern about his readiness for his team’s first-round playoff matchup.
According to a Thursday report, however, it looks like the two-time MVP will be ready to go for Game 1 of Golden State’s series against the Denver Nuggets as long as he’s able to get through a team scrimmage with no issues.

This is obviously huge news for the No. 3 seed Warriors. In addition to being their most talented player, Curry is a big part of the heart and soul of the team.
Curry enjoyed another characteristically impressive regular season. In 64 games, he averaged 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
Though the Warriors certainly have other players who can shoot the ball, there are few players across the league who come to play like Curry does once the postseason gets started.
Hopefully, he’ll be good to go for Game 1 against the Nuggets and will not be hampered by his injury. If he is fully healthy, the Warriors will likely be a very difficult out in the playoff bracket.
