The mother of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has reportedly filed for divorce from former NBA player Dell Curry.

“Steph Curry’s parents are going their separate ways … TMZ Sports has learned Sonya Curry has filed for divorce from Dell Curry,” wrote TMZ Sports.

“55-year-old Sonya put in the paperwork back on June 14 in North Carolina … according to court records. A court official tells us the divorce is still ongoing.”

Years before Stephen Curry was drafted by the Warriors, Dell Curry was one of the league’s better shooters. He enjoyed a long, productive career that saw him shoot 40.2 percent from 3-point range.

Stephen Curry, of course, has been one of the league’s premier players for the past several years, and most consider him to be the greatest outside shooter ever.

This past season, he may have had his greatest season yet, leading the NBA in scoring with 32.0 points per game. The past two seasons were dismal for the Warriors, as they failed to make the NBA playoffs.

But with the memories of three NBA championships still vivid, the team is hoping to return to contender status as Stephen Curry’s fellow running mate Klay Thompson returns from two serious lower-body injuries.
