Video: Kenny Smith Takes Direct Shot at Stephen Curry While Praising Damian Lillard

In just the fourth game of the 2019-20 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry suffered a broken metacarpal bone in his left hand, causing him to miss most of the campaign.

His absence has made it too easy for some to forget his penchant for hitting very deep shots.

When Kenny Smith of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” said that Curry could not make shots from as much distance as Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard, the three-time champ took exception.

In a league that has been moving more and more away from the basket in recent years, Curry has been the vanguard of that evolution. His ability to hit 3-pointers from beyond 30 feet away has made it exceedingly hard for defenders to guard him.

Both Curry and backcourt mate Klay Thompson are expected back in full health next season, and the Warriors will have a lottery pick to use on augmenting an already strong squad.

Expect the two-time MVP to make it rain with regularity once again just months from now.
