Stephen Curry urges voting after Donald Trump tells Proud Boys ‘stand back, stand by’

In Wednesday’s presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, the commander-in-chief made a statement that left Biden supporters aghast.

When asked to denounce white supremacists and far-right groups such as the Proud Boys, Trump said, “Stand back and stand by,” which was interpreted as a call to arms.

As a result, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry urged his fans to turn out and vote in the upcoming election.

With the Nov. 3 election being considered by many to be the most consequential in modern American history, the NBA as a whole has been urging people to make sure their decisions are counted.

Multiple NBA teams have allowed their home arenas to become polling places to make it easier for residents to easily cast their vote.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James started the “More Than a Vote” initiative to not only help turn out the vote, but to also combat voter suppression.
