Houston Rockets superstar James Harden drew criticism on Thursday after being seen in a controversial mask, which is associated with the “Blue Lives Matter” movement.
On Friday, the guard offered clarification on the infamous mask.
Harden, 30, has been in the news a lot lately. He arrived late to the NBA bubble in Orlando, Fla.
There is speculation the sharpshooter contracted the novel coronavirus, with star teammate Russell Westbrook recently confirming he tested positive for the virus.
Now, with Harden clearing up the air on the mask and being present in the bubble, he is focusing his efforts on capturing a championship.
The generational talent is putting up 34.4 points, 7.4 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game this season. The Rockets are the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference.
The 2019-20 campaign continues later this month. The Rockets resume their season against the Dallas Mavericks on July 31.
