Houston Rockets forward Bruno Caboclo inadvertently broke his mandatory 48-hour quarantine inside the NBA’s Orlando, Fla. bubble and must quarantine for another eight days.
Caboclo, 24, has appeared in five games for the Rockets this season. The Rockets are the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference.
Last season, as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, Caboclo put up 8.3 points and 4.6 boards per game.
The NBA is being very strict with testing, quarantining and imposing restrictions in the bubble. After all, coronavirus cases are surging across Florida.
If the dangerous virus enters the bubble and an outbreak occurs, the NBA may have to shut down the 2019-20 season. However, the league is doing everything in its power to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Forcing Caboclo to quarantine is evidence of the league’s prudence.
The 2019-20 campaign is set to resume on July 30.
