Report: James Harden would get his own jet and party in Las Vegas between Rockets games

Disgruntled Houston Rockets superstar James Harden hasn’t been getting good press lately.

According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN, Harden has a track record of getting his own private jet and partying in between NBA games.

“If the Rockets had two or three days between games, it was a good bet Harden would call for an off day and charter a private jet to party in Las Vegas or another city,” MacMahon wrote. “He always gets an excused absence from the first practice after the All-Star break for the same reason.”

Harden, 31, has been the face of the Rockets’ franchise for the last few years.

The All-Star is one of the best players in the association. He put up 34.3 points, 7.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game last season.

Furthermore, the veteran led the league in scoring for the last three seasons. Harden found a way to entertain himself while showing the league his talent.

“If they have multiple days off, everybody knows: James is going to fly somewhere else and party,” a member of last season’s coaching staff said. “But he’s going to come back and have a 50-point triple-double, so they’re OK with it.”

Although the Rockets have enjoyed solid success during Harden’s tenure, they haven’t been able to reach the NBA Finals.

Now, it appears both sides are ready to move.

The Rockets recently shipped former MVP Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards for point guard John Wall and a 2023 first-round pick.
