NBA executive on Victor Oladipo’s future on Pacers: ‘He’s gone’

It appears guard Victor Oladipo’s days with the Indiana Pacers are numbered.

According to Bob Kravitz of The Atheltic, Oldapio’s time with the Pacers may not last much longer.

“The Pacers need him to re-emerge because they may need him to fetch top value if/when they deal him before the March 25 trade deadline,” Kravitz wrote. “As one NBA executive told me recently, ‘He’s gone. They’ll move him.'”

Oladipo, 28, has been in trade rumors for a while. As a matter of fact, he was linked to numerous teams during the offseason.

The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the teams that had interest in acquiring Oladipo based on two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo’s rapport with him.

However, it seems that Oladipo will start the 2020-21 season with the Pacers.

The guard returned from a ruptured quadriceps tendon injury in January. During the 2019-20 regular season, he averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

At his peak, the former All-Star is one of the most explosive players in the league. Oladipo collected 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals during the 2017-18 season.
