Aaron Rodgers calls out LeBron on Joe Rogan’s podcast for links to Diddy parties

One of the more prominent legal battles in the United States right now is the one disgraced hip-hop star Diddy is in. His trial has been going on for two weeks now, and celebrities such as Cassie Ventura and Kid Cudi have testified.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James hasn’t testified, but he’s someone who’s received plenty of flak for his past connections to Diddy in light of all of the disturbing allegations coming out against the musical figure.

An NFL star is now the latest to take shots at James for his past links to Diddy. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who played for the New York Jets in the 2024 season but is currently an unsigned free agent, called out James during a podcast appearance with Joe Rogan.

Rodgers’ comments about James aren’t the only controversial things he had to say while talking to Rogan, a podcaster and UFC commentator. He suggested to Rogan that those who support transgender women competing in women’s sports are “anti-women.”

In recent years, Rodgers has ruffled feathers with controversial remarks and in some cases, conspiracy theories.

While Rodgers is still waiting to sign a contract with one of the NFL’s 32 teams, James just recently saw his 22nd season in the NBA end in disappointing fashion. The Lakers ended the 2024-25 regular season with 50 wins and as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, yet they didn’t last long in the 2025 NBA Playoffs at all.

Los Angeles didn’t so much as win a single playoff series with James and fellow star Luka Doncic spearheading the team this season, as it lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in the opening round.

The Timberwolves finished as the No. 6 seed in the West and are still kicking in these playoffs, though they are in an 0-2 series hole against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

If James returns to the Lakers next season, he will look to help the team go on a deeper run in the playoffs.
