Three people were shot and injured early on Wednesday during the celebration of the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA title in Milwaukee, according to the New York Post’s Amanda Woods.
“Both shootings were across the Milwaukee River from Fiserv Forum, where nearly 17,000 fans watched the 105-98 Game 6 win — and about 65,000 more cheered at an outdoor watch party,” Woods wrote.
“The shootings happened around 12:40 a.m. at two locations near Water Street, one of the city’s prime nightlife thoroughfares.”
The two victims in the first shooting have suffered injuries that are considered non-life threatening, and one suspect is in custody.
In the second shooting, a 22-year-old man was hurt but is expected to survive, according to authorities. A suspect is also in custody for that shooting.
The Bucks won their first NBA title since 1971 by defeating the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
Bucks star Giannis Antetkounmpo scored 50 points in the win and was named NBA Finals MVP.
