Report: Giannis to have secret wedding with celebrity guests like LeBron and Mbappe

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly set to have a “secret” wedding this weekend in Greece, and it sounds like there will be some notable names in attendance.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, tennis legend Serena Williams and soccer superstar Kylian Mbappe are reportedly among the celebrities who will be there.

Antetokounmpo is set to marry his longtime partner Mariah Riddlesprigger in a private ceremony. He and James may be competitors on the court, but it appears that they have a solid relationship off the court since the NBA’s all-time leading scorer will be in attendance at the wedding.

With other celebrities like Williams and Mbappe also set to attend, it’s safe to assume that Antetokounmpo has close relationships with people all over the sports world — not just in the NBA.

Antetokounmpo still isn’t even 30 yet has become a wonderful success story both on and off the floor. He has made the most of his NBA opportunity, earning a number of major accolades that include two MVP awards and one NBA championship, and he also appears to be thriving off the court and in his personal life.

About 200 guests are expected at the wedding. Cell phones will reportedly be prohibited due to privacy reasons. Given that, it’s unclear if fans will get to see any photos of the action as it unfolds — but it’s likely safe to assume that some details will emerge after the celebration is over.

The NBA is still in the thick of its offseason, so it’s a perfect time for Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger to celebrate their relationship and get married.

The Bucks will open their season in late October, and Antetokounmpo will certainly have some basketball responsibilities to attend to in the weeks leading up to that, but right now, he can focus entirely on his special weekend with his soon-to-be-wife.

The Lakers and Bucks will face each other twice in the upcoming regular season, with both games scheduled for March. By then, Antetokounmpo and James will be two married men competing against one another.
