It’s no secret that Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo is in trade talks around the league.
According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the teams that have been in conversations with the Pacers about Oladipo.
“League sources say the Pacers have talked with the Bucks about a trade involving Oladipo, though at this point it seems unlikely,” O’Connor wrote.
Oladipo, 28, has been linked to several teams. He will be a free agent after the 2020-21 NBA season.
As a matter of fact, the Miami Heat are reportedly at the top of his list should he leave in Indiana.
The former All-Star returned from a ruptured quadriceps tendon injury in January. However, he didn’t look like the explosive Oladipo of the past.
During the 2019-20 regular season, Oladipo averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He was a reliable contributor during the Pacers’ 2020 playoff run.
At his peak, the guard put up 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals during the 2017-18 season.
The Bucks, who finished with the best record in the league, got bounced in the second round by the Heat. They could certainly bolster their roster with a player like Oladipo.
