Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley has had a dramatic offseason to say the least.
However, with the NBA returning in just under a week, the talented youngster seems to have his mind focused on the right things.
Beasley recently stated his desire to hone in on the defensive end and even earn a spot on an All-Defensive team this season.
Malik Beasley is focused on the defensive end this season:
“I wasn’t joking when I said that I do want to make All-Defensive Team this year… If Josh Okogie isn’t defending the best player, I want to guard the best player.”

This offseason, Beasley made a number of headlines for off-court issues. Not only has he been dealing with legal issues, but he’s also in the middle of some major marital drama.
Still, Beasley proved that he can be a highly productive player in the NBA last season. In his 14 games with the Wolves, the 24-year-old averaged 20.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
If he can continue producing at that clip while also ascending as a defensive staple, he could quickly become one of the league’s rising stars.
