On Tuesday, prolific golfer Tiger Woods got caught up in a terrible car accident.

The NBA world reacted with thoughts, prayers and hope.

Woods, 45, got into the crash on Tuesday morning near the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes, a coastal city of about 42,000 people in Los Angeles County.

The vehicle suffered major damage. Woods went into surgery after being pulled from his flipped car.

Woods has one of the greatest sports careers in the world.

The veteran is greatly respected by many players in the NBA. He has several ties to prominent players.

As a matter of fact, Woods was recently on the golf course with Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.

Of course, the NBA world knows all about the pain of losing a great to a terrible accident.

In early 2020, Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash. The accident also took place in California.
