The New York Knicks’ recent acquisition of point guard Derrick Rose reunited the former MVP with head coach Tom Thibodeau.
The veteran has noticed a huge change in Thibodeau since arriving to New York.
Rose, 32, was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Thibodeau served as the Bulls’ head coach from 2010 to 2015. Rose thrived under the tutelage of Thibodeau in Chicago.
As a matter of fact, Rose became the youngest player in NBA history to win the MVP award in 2011. The Bulls had the best record in the league during the 2010-11 regular season.
However, injures derailed Rose’s career and stripped his superstar production.
Nonetheless, Rose and Thibodeau briefly reunited on the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2017-18 season.
Now, the pair is trying to push the Knicks to the postseason. The Knicks hold a 13-15 record.
