According to a report, Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons will not play in the team’s season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday due to a suspension.

Simmons was seen practicing with the team on Monday. He didn’t look thrilled to be there, but he was present nonetheless.

He was reportedly thrown out of practice on Tuesday.

If the three-time All-Star plays in the Sixers’ second game, then his season debut will come on Oct. 22 against the Brooklyn Nets.

If and when Simmons does play, many folks are intrigued to see how he will interact with his teammates on the floor. There are a lot of very interesting dynamics at play.

The 25-year-old averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game last season. He shot 55.7 percent from the field.
