According to a report, All-Star point guard Ben Simmons has cut off virtually all communication with the Philadelphia 76ers.

It was reported recently that the Sixers haven’t been able to get in touch with Simmons since the season ended, and it appears that that is still the case.

Rumors suggest that Philadelphia has been hunting for a trade for Simmons for several weeks, but the team’s asking price is reportedly extremely high. If the Sixers want to get a deal done, they might have to lower their expectations.

Simmons is still a very talented player despite his flaws. In the 2020-21 season, averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. He also added some stellar defense on the other end of the floor.

The 25-year-old’s inability to hit free throws or jump shots remains a concern. Wherever he lands, he is going to have to spend a lot of time in the gym if he wants to take his game to the next level.

For the 76ers, moving forward without the young star looks like the only option right now.
