ESPN anchor Stephen A. Smith issued a strong statement regarding the Philadelphia 76ers and their treatment of franchise legend Allen Iverson.
.@stephenasmith is FURIOUS about the 76ers' treatment of A.I.
"The same Sixers organization that evidently doesn't employ Allen Iverson … is the same Sixers organization that used him … to generate revenue & interest in their franchise when that BOGUS 'process' was ongoing." pic.twitter.com/pHE4UpKHSN

Iverson did wonders for the 76ers organization. Although he was never able to lead the team to an NBA title, he was a massive draw for fans of the team.
The 11-time All-Star was a homegrown talent for the Sixers. He was drafted by the organization in 1996, and it didn’t take long for him to make an impact at the NBA level.
He finished his NBA career with averages of 26.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He spent more than a decade with Philadelphia during his playing days.
While Iverson seems happy to remain associated with the organization, it appears Smith thinks some kind of compensation is deserved.
