The Toronto Raptors could be in the mix for big man Richaun Holmes in free agency.

The Raptors are likely going to have some cap space at their disposal this offseason, as key players like Kyle Lowry, Stanley Johnson and Gary Trent Jr. are all set to hit free agency.

If Toronto does bring in Holmes, it’d be getting a 27-year-old center who is coming off of the best two seasons of his career.

Holmes spent the last two seasons with the Sacramento Kings. In 2020-21, he averaged 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. The previous season, he averaged 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.

Those numbers were huge improvements compared to those of his first four seasons, when he averaged just 7.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

It will be interesting to see what the market is like for Holmes and whether he attracts interest from many other teams.
