Report: Executive calls NBA season ‘car with no brakes’ outside of bubble

The start of the 2020-21 NBA season is less than a month away, with teams around the league gearing up for training camps that will get underway next week.

Although COVID-19 is even more of a problem now than it was before the NBA bubble, the league isn’t taking the same kind of precautions, with one league executive believing it will be a tough road ahead.

Unlike other professional sports leagues in this country, the NBA was able to create a bubble environment in Orlando, Fla., that turned out to be flawless with no positive tests.

With the league moving forward without a bubble, the chances are things could go sideways for the NBA in the same way it has for the NFL.

The NFL has been dealing with positive COVID-19 on a weekly basis resulting in shutting down training facilities and rescheduling games.

Only time will tell whether the new protocols the NBA has put in place will limit problems throughout the upcoming season.
