Report: Kamala Harris to appear on popular NBA podcast

According to multiple reports, Kamala Harris — the Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election — recently recorded an appearance on the All The Smoke podcast, which is hosted by a couple of former NBA players in Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. The appearance has not yet been released to the public.

Harris has seen her name connected to professional sports fairly often as of late. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry shared that he supports Harris for president partly because of her stance on abortion, and former Sacramento Kings forward Royce White had something to say about Curry’s opinion.

“Best shooter of all-time… Air-balled on this one,” White wrote on X. “Men saying Women’s reproductive rights as their top policy response, is such a blatant virtue signal, it might be the weakest thing I’ve ever seen. The issue is not being taken back from the states, stop the cap. The whole thing is becoming a straw man to justify voting for Democrats that have lost their minds.

“Steph, tell me about the women’s rights for Uyghur muslims… All those women and girls… thrown in prison camps for their faith and ethnicity. Not a peep from you or the NBA. Just shut up if you won’t keep it real.”

Additionally, several fake political advertisements that described Harris as the official presidential candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles popped up around the city of Philadelphia a few weeks back before they were subsequently taken down. The fake ads portrayed Harris holding a football while wearing an Eagles helmet.

It’s unclear as to what exactly Harris discussed with Jackson and Barnes, but as Max Tani stated, Harris was San Francisco’s district attorney when the two former players helped the Warriors make a memorable run in the 2007 NBA Playoffs.

During that run, the Warriors became the first No. 8 seed since the year 1999 — when the New York Knicks reached the NBA Finals as a No. 8 seed — to upset a No. 1 seed in a playoff series. Golden State eliminated Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks in six games in the first round in 2007.

But Barnes, Jackson and the Warriors were easily dispatched by point guard Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz in the following round, as they were eliminated in five games.

Fans of the NBA should be on the lookout for any updates on the Harris interview, as it will likely drop in the near future.
