Report: NBA considering 7-to-14 day ‘pause’ of season amidst growing rate of positive COVID-19 cases

The NBA is reportedly considering pausing the 2020-21 season for up to two weeks due to the rapid increase of positive coronavirus cases within the the league.

On Monday, the NBA announced it was postponing a couple of games.

The Dallas Mavericks’ Monday contest versus the New Orleans Pelicans and Boston Celtics’ Tuesday game against the Chicago Bulls have been rescheduled.

Of course, the Celtics’ duel against the Miami Heat on Sunday was postponed as well due to the coronavirus. Furthermore, numerous Heat players are expected to be out as a result of possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

The NBA was forced to finish the 2019-20 season in an exclusive bubble in Orlando, Fla. The handling of the virus was pristine and there was no breakouts.
