DeMarcus Cousins has not only been one of the NBA’s most skilled centers for much of the past decade, but he also has an edge to him that many other centers lack.
Rajon Rondo, his teammate on the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings, says that Cousins had a brusque way of getting ready for games.
For several years, Cousins was regarded by many as the best center in basketball. He regularly put up over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game while making two All-NBA teams.
At the same time, he had a roughness to him that unfortunately resulted in him not getting along with teammates and coaches.
Cousins tore his Achilles during the 2017-18 season and has gone through quite an odyssey since then just to try to remain healthy and available to play.
After also injuring his quad and tearing his ACL, he’s now a member of the Houston Rockets and hoping to return to form as a quality NBA player.
