The Washington Wizards have had a less-than-ideal start to the 2020-21 NBA season.
After trading superstar John Wall for Russell Westbrook, the Wizards are just 3-9 through their first 12 games.
On top of that, the team has had to have multiple games postponed due to the league’s health and safety protocols related to COVID-19.
Wizards star guard Bradley Beal admitted that he is becoming frustrated with how things are going.
“It’s not like we’re giving in or giving up, it’s just frustration, individual frustration or team frustration,” he said after his team’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. “We’ve got to look ourselves in the mirror and we’ve got to be better.”
The Wizards certainly weren’t in the greatest spot due to COVID-19, but the team will need to turn things around fast if it wants to compete.
The Westbrook trade seemed like a win-now move, but the Wizards are in the basement of the Eastern Conference.
If they want to keep Beal around for the long haul, the Wizards are going to have to find a way to start winning ball games.
