Report: John Wall and Bradley Beal expected to recruit free agents to Wizards

The Washington Wizards reportedly expect stars Bradley Beal and John Wall to recruit free agents to the Wizards this offseason.

The Wizards missed the NBA playoffs last season, though they were invited to the NBA’s Orlando, Fla. bubble that featured 22 teams as the league restarted the 2019-20 season.

Beal, who averaged 30.5 points per game last season, did not participate in the bubble due to injury.

Wall sat out the entire 2019-20 season as he was recovering from a ruptured Achilles.

Washington is hoping that having its two starters back and healthy will help lure a key free agent this offseason.

Beal and Wall have had success as a duo. During the 2016-17 season, the duo took Washington to Game 7 in the second round of the playoffs before they lost to the Boston Celtics.

Now, Wall and Beal are trying to prove that they can still lead one of the top teams in the East.

Adding an additional free agent or two this offseason would go a long way in accomplishing that goal.
