Report: NBA executives considering making moves to improve potential offers for Bradley Beal

The trade rumors surrounding Bradley Beal are heating up as the NBA’s trade deadline draws closer.

Although Beal hasn’t reportedly asked the Washington Wizards to trade him, the frustration is mounting in the nation’s capital with the NBA’s leading scorer potentially hitting a boiling point with the situation.

According to a recent report, many teams around the league are considering moves that they could make in order to better position themselves to land the talented guard.

“It’s what everyone’s talking about in the league,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on his podcast. “There are executives out there. … I’m just telling you this, I talk to them…who are talking about moves they can make going into this trade deadline, or moves they can make now that potentially set themselves up to make an even better Bradley Beal offer when that moment happens.

“Whether it’s in March, whether it’s in August. Whatever…There are so many people watching this, even though he, to my knowledge, has not made any requests for anything.”

With Beal playing out of his mind this season, averaging a career-high 35.4 points per game, the veteran’s stock has never been higher. Surely, teams looking to contend for a title this year and in the future will be lining up to try to acquire him.

Unlike other NBA stars in the recent past, Beal has thus far been reluctant to call it quits on his squad and look for greener pastures. The University of Florida product seems to be determined to make it work with the Wizards.

It’ll be interesting to see how long Beal can hold out hope to turn things around.
