Aaron Rodgers says those that support transgender women competing in women’s sports are ‘anti-women’

The topic of transgender women playing in women’s sports has evolved into a highly politicized topic.

Not long after President Donald Trump returned to the White House and was sworn in after he came out on top over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, he signed an executive order to ban transgender women from competing in women’s sports. The executive order is called the “No Men in Women’s Sports Executive Order.”

One NFL star who seemingly sides with Trump’s viewpoint that transgender women do not belong in women’s sports is none other than former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets signal-caller Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers recently appeared on a podcast with Joe Rogan and claimed that biological females should not have to compete with transgender women.

He also boldly said that anyone who believes otherwise and thinks transgender women have a right to play alongside biological women is “anti-women.” Rodgers holds the belief that anyone who was born a male has far too great of an advantage going up against a woman in sports.

Rodgers argued that transgender male athletes don’t see the same amount of success that transgender female athletes do, and he chalks that up to men’s biology.

“You’re not seeing trans men dominating anything,” he said. “It’s because there’s a biological difference.”

Rogan agreed with what Rodgers had to say and chimed in that the quarterback’s comments were “not bigoted.”

Rodgers has yet to sign with one of the 32 teams in the NFL after the Jets released him following the end of the 2024 season. He’s not the MVP-caliber player he once was at his peak with the Packers, but despite his age — he’s 41 years old and will turn 42 in December — he still managed to carve out a respectable 2024 campaign in New York.

He threw more than twice the number of touchdowns as he did interceptions, as he totaled 28 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions in his second season in a Jets uniform. Rodgers also totaled nearly 4,000 passing yards across 17 games played (all starts).

Overall, people should be surprised if Rodgers doesn’t sign with a team in the near future — if he doesn’t opt to retire.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one team that’s been linked to him heavily in recent rumors. The Steelers are coming off a 10-7 season in the 2024 campaign.
