The Arizona Cardinals will be without veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald in Sunday’s game versus the New England Patriots.
Fitzgerald has unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19.
Fitzgerald’s positive test is just the latest in a rash of positives around the league.
Most notably, the Baltimore Ravens are dealing with an outbreak, forcing the NFL to postpone a highly anticipated Thanksgiving Day game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As for Fitzgerald, he is no longer the dominant force he once was on the field, but he is still a savvy veteran who has the utmost respect in the Cardinals organization and across the league.
So far this season, Fitzgerald has hauled in 43 catches for 336 yards.
His best game of the season game was in Week 11 when he caught eight of his 10 targets for 62 yards.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to beat the virus and get back on the field in the near future.
