Buffalo Bills star sends message to Patrick Mahomes going into playoff atmosphere at Highmark Stadium: ‘Good luck’

Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins sent a message to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of the playoff atmosphere that awaits the teams at Highmark Stadium on Sunday.

It appears that the Bills offensive lineman thinks that the Chiefs quarterback may have a tough time with the opposing fans.

The Chiefs are considered underdogs in this game, and it is the first time in Mahomes’ playoff career that he will be on the road.

So far, Mahomes has two playoff wins in his career against the Bills, but both of those games were played in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, Mahomes is an impressive 12-3 in his playoff career, reaching the Super Bowl three times already. He beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl last season, earning his second Super Bowl MVP award.

While the Bills are known for their crazy fan base, also referred to as Bills Mafia, Mahomes has played in plenty of important games in his NFL career.

Still, this is new territory for him. He did have to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa for Super Bowl LV, but it went down as a neutral-site game in the record books.

Last week, Mahomes put together a strong game in freezing temperatures against the Miami Dolphins, throwing for 262 yards and a touchdown. He also had two carries for 41 yards in the Chiefs’ 26-7 win.

The Bills knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers in their first playoff game with weather factoring in, as the game was actually postponed from Sunday to Monday.

The Bills are hoping that their home crowd can have an impact on the game against the Chiefs, as they’d love to finally beat Mahomes in the postseason and get a step closer to reaching the Super Bowl.

Buffalo is the No. 2 seed in the AFC after it closed the regular season strong, beating the Dolphins in Week 18 to win the AFC East title.

Between Mahomes and Bills quarterback Josh Allen, there will be plenty of star power on the field on Sunday night.
