Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey hasn’t suited up for a game since September, but that’s about to change this weekend.
On Friday, the Panthers announced the McCaffrey will return from the high ankle sprain he suffered earlier this season.
In two games this season, McCaffrey has rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns. He looked well on his way to another All-Pro season before the injury knocked that pursuit off the rails.
Now, McCaffrey will return to a 3-5 Panthers team that is looking to avoid four straight losses.
Surely, his presence in the backfield will help them in that endeavor. With that in mind, a win won’t come easily this Sunday.
The Panthers will face the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
