Joe Burrow issues inspirational message about developing confidence as Super Bowl approaches

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recently issued an inspirational message about how he has developed high levels of confidence.

Burrow has taken a Bengals team that finished in last place in the AFC North last season to this year’s Super Bowl. He and the Bengals have already knocked off some elite teams during their playoff run, and they’re now one win away from winning it all.

“At quarterback, confidence might be the most important trait that you have,” Burrow said. “I think your preparation really separates whether you’re going to have confidence or not. I wouldn’t have the same confidence in myself if I didn’t work throughout the offseason and didn’t watch film all week and went out and had bad practices and didn’t care. But I know I work really hard to put myself in good positions.”

Burrow, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has been extremely impressive in the playoffs after a strong 2021 regular season.

The second-year quarterback has thrown for 842 yards, four touchdowns and just two interceptions this postseason while completing 68.8 percent of his passes.

Burrow led the league in completion percentage in the regular season at 70.4 percent, and he led the Bengals to a 10-6 record in his 16 starts in the regular season.

Cincinnati is hoping that it can get another big game out of Burrow on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, as the Bengals are looking for their first Super Bowl win in franchise history.

Burrow’s confidence in his ability and preparation should go a long way for Cincinnati in Sunday’s showdown.
