Pissed-off Jerry Jones goes on profanity-laced tirade as he sounds off on Cowboys fans wanting him to step down as GM

Jerry Jones — the general manager of one of the more storied franchises in the NFL in the Dallas Cowboys — used plenty of profanity to respond to folks who have wished for him to step down from his position.

“I’ve done it all,” Jones said. “So I have an ordinate amount of confidence that f—, if anybody can figure out how to get this s— done, I can figure out how to get it done. I’ve been there every which way from Sunday, and have I busted my a– a bunch, a bunch. And there’s nobody living that’s out cutting and shooting that can’t give you a bunch of times they busted their a–. So hell no, there’s nobody that could f—— come in here and do all the contracts…and be a GM any better than I can.

“Plus, I’m where the buck stops. When it f—- up, I got to cover it. And so there you can’t give anybody enough. Can’t give. There’s nobody can do it.”

Jones is 81 years old and will turn 82 in October, but he doesn’t think that he is too old to do his job.

“I f—— have had hundreds of [bad days],” Jones said. “I’m emotional about it sometimes. Well, running this thing, that’s who I want to make the last call. Now, when I can’t f—— think, when I’m old and I can’t even do it…but I’m a long way from not being able to do it too.

“The reason I don’t let somebody else be the GM is because I don’t have anybody that I will let do it to actually do it right. And they’re gonna have to come to me and because I know where it is that you’re going to pay for it.”

Finally, Jones claimed that he still very much loves his job, and if he didn’t, he wouldn’t remain the general manager of the Cowboys.

“If I didn’t give a s—, if this wasn’t fun for me to do, or interesting for me to do, whatever you want to call…the facts are, I really would rather be f—— around like this,” Jones said. “The point is I love this. And you know I do.”

Along with being the general manager of the Cowboys, Jones is also the team’s current president and owner. He has owned the franchise since all the way back in the year 1989.

The Cowboys have won three Super Bowls ever since Jones took over as their owner, though it has been a while since Dallas has been on top of the NFL world.

Dallas hasn’t won a Super Bowl since the year 1996, when Troy Aikman was the squad’s quarterback, Emmitt Smith was starring at the running back position and Michael Irvin was starring as a receiver.

In recent seasons, the Cowboys have been one of the most successful regular-season teams in the league. However, Dallas hasn’t parlayed that success into the playoffs.

The Cowboys have won 12 regular-season games in each of the last three years, yet the team didn’t appear in a single Super Bowl or even NFC Championship Game during that span.

Last season, Dallas lost its first playoff game to the Green Bay Packers not long after the Cowboys clinched the NFC East division. The Cowboys’ defense really struggled in the loss, as the team allowed the Packers to score a whopping 48 points, while Dallas’ offense scored 32.

There’s no denying that Jones knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl. But considering the Cowboys’ lack of playoff success over the past few seasons, it’s apparent why some believe he should end his stint as the team’s general manager.
