The Detroit Lions received some devastating news regarding cornerback Jeff Okudah’s Achilles injury.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft will miss the remainder of the season after playing in just one game.
Okudah was looking to make a major impact after entering last season with such high expectations.
Those expectations were dimmed somewhat when injuries limited him to nine games, including six starts. During his time on the field, Okudah collected just one interception.
Okudah’s injury took place during the Lions’ 41-33 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 season opener. The injury now forces new Lions head coach Dan Campbell to make some quick adjustments prior to next week’s divisional clash against the Green Bay Packers.
