One NFL scout recently offered some major praise for Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers and his ability to play the quarterback position.
The Athletic’s Ben Standig spoke with three NFL scouts about the next four matchups in the NFL playoffs and their predictions for the contests.
“When the play breaks down, (Rodgers) has the uncanny ability to make an even bigger play than it was even scheduled to be,” said the scout. “You can’t account for it. He’s probably the most talented guy to ever play the position in terms of physical ability.”
The scout also called Rodgers the “best quarterback in the league.” It is certainly hard to deny his value to the Packers, as the team went 13-3 in his starts this season and lost the lone game that he missed.
Rodgers won the NFL’s MVP award last season, and he has a serious case to win the award again this season.
The 38-year-old quarterback had a great regular season, as he threw for 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions while leading the Packers to the best record in the entire league.
The Packers have won 13 games in three straight seasons, and Rodgers has been a major reason as to why. Green Bay has not been able to win a Super Bowl over that time span, but it is hoping to this season.
The Packers locked up the top seed in the NFC for the postseason, and they will host the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field on Saturday.
