Report: Packers not engaged in trade discussions regarding Aaron Rodgers, waiting for quarterback’s decision

The Green Bay Packers reportedly are not engaged in trade discussions regarding star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The team seems to be awaiting the four-time MVP’s decision on whether or not he wants to stay with the franchise for the 2022 season.

Rodgers has won back-to-back MVPs, but the Packers have not seen their success in the regular season translate to the playoffs, as they have fallen short of the Super Bowl in both seasons.

If Rodgers decides that he wants to leave Green Bay, the team should easily be able to find a trade partner.

Last season, Rodgers threw for 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions in 16 games.

The Packers drafted quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he would likely be the successor to Rodgers if the veteran decides he would like to play elsewhere in the 2022 season.

Rodgers, who was drafted by the Packers back in the 2005 NFL Draft, has played his entire career in Green Bay and won one Super Bowl with the team.
