Indianapolis Colts newcomer Carson Wentz will miss up to three months due to foot surgery.
Wentz, 28, played for the Philadelphia Eagles for the last few years.
However, the quarterback was acquired by the Colts in exchange for a couple of draft picks earlier this year.
In five seasons with the Eagles, Wens started in 68 contests. In that span, he completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 16,811 yards along with 113 touchdowns and 50 interceptions.
The Colts will now have to wait to see that type of production from Wentz.
