Former first-round pick Tim Tebow reportedly worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end, and there has been discussion of him potentially signing a contract with the team.
Tebow, 33, last played in the NFL during the 2012 season for the New York Jets.
However, Tebow’s college coach Urban Meyer is now the head coach of the Jaguars. He could be interested in teaming up with the quarterback that helped him bring home multiple national titles at the University of Florida.
Tebow spent time trying to play professional baseball in the New York Mets organization, but he stepped away from baseball earlier this year.
Tebow led the Denver Broncos to a playoff victory during the 2011 season, but Denver signed Peyton Manning at quarterback and traded Tebow to the Jets shortly after.
While he has never played tight end in the NFL, it appears that Tebow made enough of an impression for Jacksonville to be considering him as an option ahead of the 2021 season.
