Report: Tom Brady in ‘deep discussions’ to become limited partner of Las Vegas Raiders

Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady reportedly is in “deep discussions” to become a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady would partner with Raiders owner Mark Davis in the venture, and the two are already partners in the ownership group for the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.

It seems like Brady still wants his hand in the game of football even though he officially retired following the 2022 season.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback had originally stepped away from the game following the 2021 season, but he opted to come back for another campaign in 2022.

The 2022 season wasn’t the best of Brady’s career. He and the Buccaneers went just 8-9 in the regular season, but it was enough to win the NFC South division. The team was promptly dismissed from the playoffs by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round.

Following that loss, Brady decided to call it quits on one of the greatest careers the NFL has ever seen.

A three-time league MVP, seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP, Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback to ever play the sport. Having a former player with that pedigree as part of an ownership group is a huge move, and it should help the Raiders going forward.

The Raiders are entering a bit of a new era in the 2023 season, as they recently let go of longtime quarterback Derek Carr, who is now with the New Orleans Saints. The Raiders signed a former backup of Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo, to handle the quarterback duties this season.

Garoppolo, who spent the past few seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, has led a team to a Super Bowl appearance in his career, something Carr has never done.

After finishing in third place in the AFC West in the 2022 season, the Raiders are hoping to get back to the playoffs, where they were in the 2021 campaign.

Davis and Brady are becoming solid business partners, and it’s possible they could team up for more ventures in the future. The Raiders are hoping that Brady’s tenure as an owner will be just as successful as his amazing playing career.
