Bill Belichick sparks rumors of Patriots discord with odd response to Stephon Gilmore trade talk

However, Belichick’s response was a bit strange, considering that he’s involved in all the team’s moves. This could mean there is a disconnect between Belichick and the organization as New England continues to struggle this season.

Although the Patriots had high hopes of competing despite Brady’s departure, the team has struggled with quarterback Cam Newton as its starter and injuries taking a major toll on the roster.

Ahead of its upcoming matchup with the New York Jets, New England is sporting a record of 2-5 while sitting behind the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins in the AFC East standings.
