Mason Rudolph admits he’ll have ‘jitters’ heading into game vs. Browns and Myles Garrett

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph admitted that he’ll have some “jitters” ahead of the Steelers’ game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Rudolph will get the start for the Steelers in place of Ben Roethlisberger since Pittsburgh has already clinched a playoff spot.

However, Rudolph will have to face Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett, who infamously hit Rudolph in the head with his own helmet last season.

The play led to Garrett being suspended indefinitely by the NFL. He missed the final six games of the 2019 regular season before he was reinstated.

Rudolph said that he has not spoken to Garrett since the incident, but there were accusations from Garrett that Rudolph had called him a racial slur.

The Browns sit at 10-5 on the season, but they need a win to make the playoffs since several other teams are also 10-5 heading into Week 17.

As for the Steelers, they have clinched a playoff spot, but could get the No. 2 seed in the AFC with a win and a loss by the Buffalo Bills.

It will be interesting to see if Sunday’s game will reignite any bad blood between Garrett and Rudolph.
